Christina Jensen Vicente
Christina is a Danish-American artist and designer. Her cultural background is evident in her work, which combines the simplicity and refinement of Scandinavia with a deep appreciation for the inherent beauty of natural materials—a tradition of the American South, where she grew up. Through multi-media wall hangings that combine textiles and bio-resins, she explores the power of form, texture, light, and movement, aiming to alter how we engage with space and influence our feelings within the environment around us.
Christina balances a career in retail design and innovation with her artistic practice, experimenting with a wide range of textiles, natural fibers, and bio-resins, all combined with traditional fiber techniques such as weaving, sewing, knitting, and knotting to create works of significant scale. She holds a Master’s degree from Pratt Institute in New York City. Currently, Christina serves as Creative Director at CHANEL, having previously worked at Martha Stewart Living.
