Mr Sena Shah

After a 25-year career commissioning and leading health and social care services, Sena decided to follow his passion for art in 2018. His debut exhibition was at the New Artists’ Fair in 2019, London. Since then, Sena has sold work through galleries in Notting Hill, Fulham, Wimbledon, Crystal Palace, and outside London.

Sena has had sell-out shows at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea (2023 and 2024) and Hampstead (2024), and he has found many new collectors at The Other Art Fair (Brick Lane), Art Fair East (Norwich), and the W4 Art and Design Group shows in Chiswick.

Sena works with felt fabric, using its texture and vibrant colours to produce distinctive abstract and optical art. Some designs incorporate changing geometric shapes, while others feature powerful positive words. His geometric pieces are influenced by colours and patterns found in nature—sun, sea, water, and flora—as well as architectural geometry. Sena continues to develop new designs and techniques to create handcrafted limited series in editions of between 6-10.

Sena has found a unique way of merging felt fabric with a paper-thin reflective material (mirrors), creating a lenticular effect that causes the art to transform as the viewer sees it from left to right.

Sena believes that art should not be static—it should encourage the viewer to interact and find moments that echo their feelings and inspire positive emotions. The best way to fully appreciate the magic is to see the art in person and move left to right to see the fantastic changes.
