Artist Statement
My work explores the unseen energies that permeate our lives, seeking to make the invisible visible. I have always been sensitive to the emotions and energies of others, and through my journey of meditation and self-discovery, I have learned to channel these energies into my art. Each piece I create is an exploration of the spiritual dimensions that are often overlooked in our daily lives.
My creative process begins in deep meditation, where I tap into the energy fields around me. I allow these energies to guide my hand as I sketch and paint, often with my eyes closed, capturing the flow and movement of the energy in the space around me. The result is a visual representation of the unseen forces that shape our world.
The Radiate series, for example, represents a new chapter in my artistic journey, moving away from previous works and starting anew. This series is inspired by the purity and power of nature, particularly the landscapes of Newfoundland, where I currently reside. Through watercolours and metallic inks, I reveal the dynamic and beautiful energies of nature, inviting viewers to connect with the unseen aspects of their existence.
I aim for my art to be a door—a portal—that connects viewers with the spiritual dimensions of their lives. By visualizing these energies, I hope to provide a space for contemplation and self-discovery, encouraging others to explore their inner worlds and the forces that shape them.
