All’s Fair: Emma Hapner’s Feminine Perspective at Warnes Contemporary

Hapner’s exploration of color is integral to her artistic vision. By immersing her figures in saturated pink landscapes, she examines the dynamic interplay between sensuality and power, beauty and resilience. "By situating multiple figures within an intense pink space, I depict the evolving relationship with selfhood," Hapner states. "Utilizing quinacridone red, magenta, and fluorescent pink, I embrace both the softness and strength inherent in femininity."
About the Artist
Emma Hapner is a figurative oil painter based in New York City. She earned an MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art and a BFA from Ball State University. Her work has been exhibited nationally, with All’s Fair representing a significant development in her ongoing inquiry into female identity and representation.
