Cj Hendry Unveils “Keff Joons”: A Playful Twist on Jeff Koons’ Iconic Balloon Sculptures

This week, acclaimed artist Cj Hendry launched her latest art exhibition “Keff Joons,” inspired by Jeff Koons and his iconic animal balloons. With her notorious sense of humor, play, and juxtaposition, Hendry’s adaptation of ‘balloons’ challenges perceptions of space and volume through this ubiquitous object. As always, Hendry’s signature exhibition style encourages visitors to interact and play with their surroundings and to explore how movement, placement, and material transform the spaces around them, both physical and internal.

“Balloons are so simple, yet they carry this enormous emotional weight—joy, nostalgia, fragility. I love that they float so effortlessly, but at any moment, they can pop. Keff Joons is my tongue-in-cheek nod at that balance between lightness and impermanence through the lens of Jeff Koons’ incredible balloon sculptures. While Jeff has transformed the balloon animal into an icon of art, I’ve cobbled together these balloon “knots” that forgo structure and form and are totally ridiculous. I’m leaving the real art to the professionals!” - Cj Hendry

Exhibition Details:
Keff Joons is open to the public at no cost, the exhibition includes large interactive sculptures, original drawings, lenticular editions, and a selection of merchandise for sale.
