Artist Statement
My work is intended to create tension in the spaces of our lives where we feel isolated and long for something more. These feelings can be heavy, but I often find them to be interspersed with moments of laughter or distraction. In my work, that looks like bursts of color or what I call harmonious moments of disruption. I often think our lives oscillate between these realities more than we care to imagine. My work is aimed at creating those intersections and letting the viewer navigate this liminal space.
