Pamella Diegor
Pamella Diegor is a painter and sculptor working primarily in plaster, clay, and acrylics. She views the world with heart-shaped glasses and playfully transforms them into color-saturated artworks, infusing a sense of warmth and positivity into the mundane that can often feel cold and heartless. She aims to connect with her audience and inspire them to believe that despite the struggles of modernity, the heart wins.
With the use of the familiar heart shape, she challenges and reminds herself to see hearts in a round world. She incorporates experimental textures as the heart morphs into various forms, gradually building her dreamscape called the Heart Archive.

Can you describe the core themes and emotions you explore in your current body of work?
For me, everything revolves around the heart shape—I apply it as a symbol of goodness and positivity. It’s an internal battle and constant exploration where I navigate between seeing hearts in a round world, alongside facing challenges and negativity brought by modernity. Overall, I imagine building a world full of hearts and color!
How does your creative process unfold from concept to completion?
I start by finding an idea that I resonate strongly with. I have to be honest with myself, so I put my heart into the artwork and archive my feelings there. Then I immerse myself in the exploration of form and texture, meticulously shaping and refining using materials like plaster and clay. As the artwork takes shape, I finish it off with an organized chaos of vibrant colors. This part allows me to embrace my love for color and add another creation to the dreamscape I’m gradually building through Heart Archive.
What inspires you most outside of the visual arts, and how does it influence your work?
Beyond visual arts, I draw inspiration from metaphors found in song lyrics, everyday objects, fantasy themes, and personal experiences. One of my favorite practices is transforming challenges into sources of positivity through my art. This process not only provides me with a sense of fulfillment but also allows me to channel these inspirations into artworks that serve as reminders and external expressions of those emotions.
How do you navigate the balance between personal expression and the commercial aspects of your career?
Expressing myself creatively is important to me, and I imagine it’s just as vital for any artist out there. Since this part is still a work in progress for me, what I can only say for now is that I try to stay true to my artistic vision and values while also being mindful of finding a middle ground where my art can resonate with others. This is where the heart shape comes into play! It’s a universal symbol that transcends languages and ages, offering endless possibilities for interpretation.
What message or feeling do you hope viewers take away from experiencing your art
Through the artworks I create, I hope viewers can envision hearts in a round world and experience an abundance of colors for themselves. I think that’s crucial right now, given the different challenges we face every day wherein it’s hard to see the light and goodness out of it. While I personally struggle with this, my art serves as a reminder for myself, and I hope it provides comfort and inspiration to others as well.
